The Canvassing Board will meet tomorrow (August 10) at 10am in the Lake County Law Enforcement Center (613 3rd Ave. Two Harbors, MN 55616) to certify the election results.
The Canvassing Board Meeting is open to the public
Given the close results I will be requesting a manual recount which will happen sometime later in August. You can read about the MN rules around recounts here.
The Recounting event will be open to the public to witness
If there is still a tie after the recount then the determination of who continues into the general election will be decided by “lot” (random chance like a coin flip or drawing of a name from a hat)
