I will update codes and ordinances to better protect nature and the most vulnerable while getting out of the way of well intentioned people who want to have flexibility in how they build and live. I will start with septic ordinances because not everyone wants to talk about poop but modern and proven options for effective waste cleaning systems are commercially available but not allowed by the outdated.

    I will dismantle the sheriff department and replace it with an emergency response department that will provide rapid, science based support to the whole county in a way that recognizes the imperfect human that we each are and sometimes we just need a little help in a way that doesn’t put our life under threat of state violence.

    I will protect our land and people from capitalist greed which is attempting to extract generations of wealth from our community to enrich foreign and domestic shareholders with a total disregard to the damage done.
